How will you have an impact in this role?

The Account Lead’s primary responsibility is to be the face of Landus with farmer owners, the main point of contact, and owner of the relationship, always striving to put our farmer owners at the center of everything we do.

This position is a high energy fast-paced role for individuals motivated to drive sales and growth through strong farmer owner relationships. You will develop, coordinate and implement grain marketing strategies and provide sound agronomic recommendations to Landus farmer owners.

What will you do?

  • Promote a sales and growth culture with all employees within the Business Unit.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by prompt attention assisting or directing customers to the appropriate areas to meet their needs.
  • Assist in maintaining and increasing agronomy and feed sales, grain origination and marketing with existing customers and grow business with new customers, as applicable
  • Be an advocate for and collaborate with the GROW Solution Center, drawing upon their expertise, to provide timely information, service and support, to help the customer achieve greater profitability.
  • Provide grain origination and agronomy assistance to assigned area.
  • Assist in the management of customer offers, work orders, precision technology, contracts, and settlement documentation.
  • Assist in coordination of scheduling truck transportation for agronomy deliveries and grain FOB farm purchases.
  • Utilize expertise in performing crop scouting and yield checks on test plots for customers.
  • Observe and demonstrate how to provide a consistent communication channel between Landus customers and location personnel in order to set proper service expectation levels, resolve problems and scheduling issues.
  • Schedule timely soil samples, soil nitrate tests, plant tissue analysis, soybean cyst samples and yield checks for customers.
  • Monitor grain price changes; send information to customers on a timely basis.
  • Maintain high level of communication and disseminate customer information to all employees within the area.
  • Support leaning into the future of agriculture by promoting and being an advocate for new technology, data, and working with customers to increase supply chain visibility to drive value back to the farm.
  • Support Account Leads on accounts receivable risks on current and potential customers in order to minimize the company’s accounts receivable risk exposure.
  • Collaborate with the Hub, location and procurement to monitor projected agronomy sales in order to effectively manage inventory needs.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CCA certified or NFA Series III license or ability to obtain is recommended.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
  • Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds

Other Skills that will help you succeed:

  • Good computer skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook and databases.
  • CDL and other DOT qualifications for operation of a commercial motor vehicle or able to obtain is recommended.
