Job Description

We are looking for an experienced assistant general manager with solid leadership abilities who can grow with us. You will collaborate with our general manager to plan and oversee the hotel's daily operations and assume the GM's responsibilities in their absence. This position is responsible for managing employees and ensuring our guests have a 5-star experience with our services. Our ideal candidate is passionate about customer service while also maintaining the hotel's budget and quality standards. You must have 3 years of management experience in the hospitality industry and a bachelor's degree in hospitality management is strongly preferred. Compensation:

$1,000 + per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the general manager in the daily operation of the hotel to ensure that all guest service standards are met
  • Propose adjustments that will increase hotel profitability by assessing department performance and identifying issue areas
  • Create the yearly hotel budget in collaboration with the general manager and department heads, and assess and adjust performance throughout the year to stay profitable
  • Verify that all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as any business or brand-specific policies and procedures, are followed
  • Facilitates management of the hotel's human resources functions, such as HR administration, turnover control, staff motivation, and employee development and retention
  • The high-quality care, well-being, and overall recognition of our guests. Making sure that each guest experience exceeds expectations. Interfacing with guests on a daily basis and resolving any concerns that may arise.
  • Assist in overseeing the facility operations including guest services, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and sales.
  • Supervise operational teams to ensure proper completion of all duties while adhering to specific property and Lark Hotels policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Responsible for supervision of the above departmental employees while working in conjunction with the GM – Lark Hotels to ensure resolution to any and all employee-related challenges or concerns across department lines while adhering to the property and Lark Hotels’ policies.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in hospitality management or a related field
  • A proven record of experience managing a team, preferably in a hospitality role, is required
  • Must have at least 3 or more years of experience in the hospitality field
  • Possess excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality
