Early Childhood - Teacher

Summary

Come and join our fun, energetic, down-to-earth teaching team!We are looking for a Teacher to join our family-oriented center.

The Teacher is responsible for being an asset to our teaching team, completing lesson plans, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must be willing to learn about children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and work with parents.

Duties

Coordinate and implement educational curriculum
Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities
Maintain frequent communications with parents
Ensure a healthy classroom environment
Maintain personal professional development plan with the support of the director

Requirements

Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
High energy and ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents)
An understanding of child development
Must clear full background check and pass health screening
The ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
Excellent leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Childcare classes are a plus, however, no formal education (except HS diploma or equivalent) are needed. We will assist you in completing the required Childcare courses!
