Rack Picker / Forklift Driver - 1st Shift - Full-time / Part-time

Job Description:

Express Employment Professionals of Dickson is currently seeking enthusiastic, professional, and efficient candidates for a Picker position with an established Distribution and Warehouse Center in Flooring. This position requires previous forklift experience and will pay $16.00 per hour. The hours are M-F from 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., and applicants should be flexible after training to move to 2nd or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and properly operate an order picker
• Safely and properly operate a forklift
• Utilize forklift to pick orders with sheets of wood
• Distribute wood flooring products
• Will work in Shipping and Receiving department
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with Company procedures, rules and regulations
• Good attitude, performance, and attendance is essential

Qualifications:

• Able to read and write legibly
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently with little supervision
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Capable of working at elevated levels off of the floor
• Capable of reading tape measures, scales and gauges
• Previous experience with Warehouse Management System is a plus!
• Capable of working in a non temperature-controlled environment
• Capable of physical movements such as twisting, bending, squatting and kneeling repeatedly
• Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Steel toed shoes/boots
• Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working overtime if needed.
