Seasonal Groundskeeper

Eagle Brook Church is a multi-site church looking for a skilled and hardworking Seasonal Groundkeeper to join our Facilities team. This person is responsible for a wide variety of outdoor, grounds related duties at various sites. Someone with a servant heart who enjoys physical activity will thrive in this role. Seasonal Groundskeeper // EAGLE BROOK CHURCH

POSITION SUMMARY

Works with a team to maintain the grounds of Eagle Brook’s multiple sites. Does physical work in outdoor settings from May through November. Operates and maintains a variety of landscaping and maintenance equipment. Reports to Grounds Manager.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains the appearance of grounds at various Eagle Brook campuses
• Provides lawn care including cutting grass, edging, and weeding
• Trims bushes and trees
• Plants and grooms landscaping
• Operates church vehicles and equipment appropriately
• Complies with Eagle Brook safety policies consistently
• Assists in loading and unloading work trucks
• Assists with job site setup, staging and cleanup
• Maintains grounds equipment
• Cleans and organizes Grounds storage facility
• Works in outdoor environments
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience with landscaping and/or grounds keeping
• Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook’s nine core beliefs
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and complete strenuous physical work
• Effective communication skills; written, verbal and interpersonal
• Ability to work effectively with all levels in organization, both staff and volunteers
• Physical ability for operating a variety of grounds equipment
• Mechanical aptitude for operating and trouble-shooting a variety of equipment
• Able to identify, trouble shoot and solve problems, and assist outside contractors
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to be flexible with job duties and locations
• Effectively prioritize workload

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday 7:00 am-4:00 pm, May through November, weather permitting.
