Essential Functions


Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


· Develops, conducts and evaluates a wide range of trainings to internal and external staff including not limited to defensive tactical systems, de-escalation techniques, search and seizure and active shooter drills.

· Generates and reviews call cards and assists in completing monthly status reports and vehicle inspections.

· Creates updates and maintains current training modules, materials, quizzes, and presentations.

· Assists with developing policies and procedures.

· Keeps detailed records of training, inspections, and drills and notifies staff and supervisor of delinquent trainings.

· Performs duties of a Security Officer I.


Job Requirements


· High School Diploma or GED.

· At least 3 years of security experience or law enforcement Experience.

· Adult CPR/First Aid and AED certified.

· CA Guard Card certification or comparable law enforcement certification to include graduation from a California POST certified Basic Law Enforcement Academy.

· O.C. Pepper Spray permit.

· Baton permit.

· Prior experience creating and presenting training to employees, particularly in security or law enforcement setting, is desirable.

· Intermediate user of MS Office.

· Be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience; possess a valid California driver's license; and has no Class 1 or more than two Class 2 violations within the past 36 months.

· Participate in an annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings when necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be granted where appropriate.
