- Operates various grinding tools to clean and finish castings
- Grinds castings to groove, bevel, round, or straighten edges and removes excess projections, such as gates, fins, and parting lines
- Completes final rough finishes and polishes metal castings
- Prepares and transports metal castings to the shipping department for final inspections
- Pay starting at $13/hour
Requirements of the position are as follows:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Understanding of and ability to read shop orders required.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.
