ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES ASSOCIATE

Job Summary

The Environmental Services Associate cleans and sanitizes rooms and furnishings in assigned work areas, following established policies and procedures, to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital.

Essential Functions

• Moves throughout the facility and performs the physical requirements needed to deliver environmental services as assigned.

• Performs the manual and administrative responsibilities of this position according to hospital and department policy and procedure.

• Works cooperatively with unit staff, physicians and ancillary departments.

• Demonstrates commitment to Pomerene Hospital’s Values.

• Delivers service that builds customer satisfaction.

• Actively supports and encourages Primary Support Person (PSP) / Family presence in patient rooms and guest areas, with consent of patient. Maintains an environment that is clean, welcoming and conducive to PSP / Family visitation.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/GED- Preferred
• Entry Level Position, No Experience Required.
