Spring Arbor Senior Living of Winchester, VA is seeking an experienced Memory Care Director to lead our dedicated team in the “Cottage”, Spring Arbor’s memory care community. As the Memory Care Director over this unit, you will oversee the clinical aspects of resident care while also ensuring engaging activities designed to enhance their lives. An LPN is preferred for this role but not required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO!

  • Recruit, hire and manage cottage care staff
  • Complete scheduling for cottage care staff
  • Orient, monitor progress and reinforce training of cottage care staff
  • Assist the Resident Care Director and Executive Director in implementing state regulations as required
  • Monitor all aspects of medication administration including the audit of Medication Administration Records (MAR) and notifying pharmacy of changes
  • Consult with families and/or physicians to coordinate resident care needs

  • Active LPN license preferred but not required
  • State-specific Medication Technician / Registered Medication Aide certification required (Candidates must possess to move forward in the process)
  • In addition to Med Tech license, a CNA or PCA/DCS Certification is required
  • Aptitude and previous experience with Alzheimer’s and memory impaired residents
  • High school diploma, or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Prior management experience in a similar work environment
  • Must have and maintain CPR and First Aid
