Sales and Business Development Intern

American Battery Solutions is hiring a Summer Intern in Lake Orion, MI.

Job Summary:

The Sales and Business Development Intern will work with the Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Customer Service teams working on a variety of activities related to customer support. The candidate will spend time working with the marketing manager to manage the social media program, with the customer service team to learn PO/RMA processes, with the sales team to learn the CRM tool, and with the sales team customer interaction and presentation/messaging. The intern will also support the sales team in the preparation and development of presentations for several public speaking engagements. Finally, the candidate will shadow members of the sales, business development, Marketing and Service teams to learn about each of the different functions.

Responsibilities:

• During the internship the candidate will work on a project to define and refine the company's product value propositions for our Alliance and ProLiance products and convert those value propositions into customer facing PowerPoint presentations. The intern will be required to present the full value proposition presentation to the Sales & Marketing team at the end of their internship.
• Assist in the maintenance of competitive analysis.
• Assist with creating and posting on American Battery Solutions’’ social media channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Assist with planning and executing for in-person tradeshows.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of product literature including but not limited to product datasheets, user manuals, company brochures.
• Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and prepare presentations.
• Complete a 12-week final project presentation at the end of internship.
• Report the progress of tasks on a regular basis.
• Adhere to federal and state regulations.
• Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
• Predictable and reliable attendance.

Position Qualifications:

• Undergraduate student working towards a Marketing and Sales, Business Administration, or other relevant degree.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing tools.
• Analytical skills: ability to gather and analyze data and develop fact-based recommendations.
• Project management skills: strong work ethic and ability to meet project deadlines.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week up to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA required to enter the program.
• Must be actively enrolled in school.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
