Registered Nurse (Family Birth Center)

Do you have a passion for people? At Newton Medical Center we are proud to set an award-winning standard for healthcare and are in need of a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Family Birth Center. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist moms and babies through the labor and delivery process, recovery and postpartum care; as well as have an opportunity to care for infants in our special care unit too.

In this role, not only will you join our team of dedicated and talented healthcare professionals, but also play a critical role in the delivery of comprehensive assessments of our patient and family needs, planning, coordinating, teaching, counseling, and direct physical care. If you are a highly professional RN who is comfortable reassuring families and communicating with doctors, as well as, tending to the needs of his/her patients we strongly encourage you to apply. This is a PRN position 3a-3p or 3p-3a

Pay Range:$24.65 to $34.73 (This position is eligible for 15% PRN differential)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and experience:

• ADN/BSN degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school of nursing or diploma in nursing required
• 1 year experience postpartum or Labor Delivery required.

Licensure, registration and certification:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Kansas
• Certification in CPR/Basic Life Support
• Certification in Advance Cardiac Life Support recommended
• Certifications in NRP, STABLE, and Fetal monitoring
