Security Officer - Overnight

Job Summary

Perform Carillon security duties and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, residents, employees and the property as well as the property assets.

Essential Job Functions

1. Patrol property utilizing provided patrol equipment
2. Oversees the security base; Employee Entrance, operates the security equipment as necessary.
3. Issue and receiving of keys, radio and other communication devices by use of Registration Logs provided for this purpose.
4. Random checks to be done on CCTV Digital Recording Units.
5. Performs investigations of incidents occurring at Carillon property.
6. Writes reports and documents all activities. (Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel)
7. Initiates reports involving lost and found items and takes items into custody; returns items to owners.
8. Performs locking and unlocking of doors and arming and de‑arming of alarms as needed.
9. Assist with guest room access, moving / removing guest possessions or inventory as required.
10. Performs periodic security and fire checks of build­ings and facilities during all hours of the day.
11. Implement emergency response procedures
12. Provide First Aid when required and Complete accident reports.
13. Assist with Workers Compensation Procedure.
14. Conduct employee bag checks as required.
15. Report Safety Hazards
16. Monitor and facilitate Fire Panel Operation, emergency announcements and evacuation procedures.
17. Conduct daily security equipment inventory check.
18. Assist with door lock and safe programming.
19. Assist guests and residents with keys and safe issues.
20. Handle undesired conduct and violations of Carillon policy.
21. Assists Carillon personnel as needed.
22. Assist with other duties as directed by Supervisor.
