The Le Meridien Sheraton Charlotte Hotel is currently seeking dynamic and motivated individuals for the position of Door Person/ Greeter to join our team at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. This position may be right for you if you enjoy greeting people with warmth and friendliness and are ready to help at a moment’s notice. You must be willing to go the extra mile to keep our guests satisfied, and you must also be able to manage a variety of tasks at the same time. 1. Administration

· Provide courtesy services such as opening and closing doors, and operating elevators.

· Escort incoming guests to rooms and assist guests with luggage upon check in.

· Inspect guest room to ensure that it is in order, and that supplies are adequate.

· Explain features of room such as operation of radio, television, in-room movie system, etc.

· Offer information pertaining to available hotel services, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.

· Deliver messages and run errands.

· Keep record of calls for service.

· Deliver packages, suitcases, and trunks.

· Respond to and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.

Requirements:

Support

· Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.

· Ability to accurately report information.

· Ability to scrupulously follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.

· Attend required meetings.


These are required of every associate.

· Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.

· Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.

· Hearing, writing, typing.

· Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.

· Other duties may be assigned.


Additional responsibilities specific to you are:

· Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.

· Must have a knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.

· Must have a knowledge of mathematical and computer skills.

· High school education and relevant training and experience preferred.

· Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.

· CPR training required; first aid training preferred.

· Additional language ability preferred.
