Job Description
Job Summary:
As a Laundry Aide at Mountain Ridge Health & Rehab, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily laundry needs of our facility. This full-time, hourly position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. This role reports directly to the Laundry Supervisor and is located in Black Mountain, North Carolina. The Schedule runs as follows: Every Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday afternoon from 1:00pm to 8:00pm.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time hourly position with a starting rate of $14 per hour. Employees will be paid biweekly and are eligible for benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, and dry linens and personal laundry according to specified procedures and schedules
- Fold and store clean linens in designated areas
- Distribute clean linens to appropriate departments and retrieve dirty ones for laundering
- Maintain inventory of linens and submit supply orders as needed
- Use laundry equipment properly and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols
- Contribute to a clean and organized laundry room and work area
- Assist with other duties as directed by Laundry Supervisor or management team
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Basic math skills to track inventory and submit supply orders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
