Job Description
Position Summary: The Field Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company policy, commitments and goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review customer contracts/purchase orders for content such as scope, cost, terms, warranty, and schedule to ensure compliance with company policy.
- Preparation of proposals to assure compliance with schedules, budgets, and corporate policy, including detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, and specific requirements.
- Lead the planning and implementation of projects.
Manage project budgets. - Plan, schedule, and maintain project timelines.
- Provide daily communication, direction, and support to all project participants including customers, all internal departments, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and construction crews.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve successful project completion. - Obtain and provide project evaluations and assessment of results.
- Travel as required to provide hands on customer service such as participation in preconstruction meetings, job inspections, grading of subcontractor work and any other related commitment as needed.
- Skills and Specifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to effectively communicate complex commercial or technical information.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Project, Outlook, and Excel.
Able to read and understand blueprints. - Solid problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multitask work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work proactively and independently on a broad variety of projects.
- Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.
- Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet job requirements.
- Able to travel in the course of work approximately 10% of the time.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering Technology or related technical field is preferred, or;
- Associate degree with 2-3 years relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 – 4 years project management experience with API 650/653 is preferred.
