Harvest (Hourly)

As a member of the team you may be responsible for a variety of duties including:

• Slaughter cows and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses

• Wearing personal protective equipment (i.e., hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, mesh safety equipment as provided by Missouri Prime Beef Packers)

Other requirements:

• Positions require individuals to cut, trim and fabricate beef products in a production line setting.

• Ability to push and pull product repetitively in a hot and/or cold assembly line environment.

• Ability to work with sharp instruments.

• Must maintain good personal hygiene.

• Employee must regularly communicate and understand instructions and possess good hand-eye coordination and dexterity. These positions are very active and require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, twisting and climbing. It also requires the use of hands and arms constantly for pinching, simple gripping, grasping, push-pull with hands, and operating machinery frequently. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items 50-100 pounds and reach above shoulders. Specific vision abilities required to do this job includes close and distant vision, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to focus.

• While performing duties of these jobs, the employee is frequently exposed to moving carcass on a rail system, various degree room temperatures and wet floors. The noise level can be loud.

Experience in Beef Packing Plant a Plus.

Warehouse duties require employees to pick, pack and ship orders with speed and accuracy.

Shipping duties require organizing outgoing pallets with appropriate labels and paperwork.

Inventory must partner with warehouse to maintain appropriate inventory of supplies and finished products and maintain accurate rotation of end product.

Yard/Live animals require working with the cattle as they are unloaded and making sure they are treated humanely at our facility and prior to slaughter.

QA Department employee needs to be detail-oriented and is responsible for inspection, detection and resolution of possible issues related to food safety.
