We’re looking for an experienced Foreman to reside in our region (CO, KS, NE) who is committed to ensuring the quality of our construction, and the reliability of our network. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible as a crew leader; proper, accurate and timely submission of Production Reports
  • Oversee crew assignments including daily work assignments based on Fiber Span sheets, path determination and communication with the crew, customer, and general public
  • Handle, instruct, or oversee daily work components including operating a fiber blower, pulling cable, operating various equipment to install fiber optic cable, and other means of pneumatic construction
  • Provide on the job training for employees working under your direction and direction of your crews based on construction practices and methods to ensure a safe and productive work environment
  • Perform daily field inspection of construction operations to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices.
  • Direct traffic flow in accordance with local and state DOT guidelines
  • Read and Implement design prints and other related paperwork and instructions pertaining to the job
  • Maintain and operate vehicle and equipment safely following all manufacturer safety specifications and traffic regulations
  • Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignments
  • Must be able to travel; 100% travel is a requirement for this position
  • Must be a resident of CO, NE, or KS, or willing to relocate to one of those states
  • Manage time critical assignments

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years OSP Fiber placing experience preferred
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without need of current or future visa sponsorship
  • Experience with fiber blowing optic equipment (GMP and CONDUX) highly preferred
  • Experience with operation of hydraulic Fiber Optic Pulling Capstans
  • Experience with operations of duct rodding and mule tape installation
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced and quickly changing environment
  • Ability to travel and work on call, evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Must be open and communicative, and accepting of direction from leaders
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must be at least 21 and be able to pass a background check and drug screen (marijuana/thc is a fail on our drug test).

Physical Requirements:

  • Typical field related physical requirements of sitting, standing, driving and walking.
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs
