As a Plastipak Engineering Support Technician, you will be responsible for observing mechanical devices in operation and have the ability to trouble shoot to locate causes of issues to make proper repairs while adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices, GMP rules. You Will
- Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Repair/replace defective parts. Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Repair electrical equipment. Lubricate and clean parts. Start devices to test their performance. Set up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
- Perform work in a safe manner, and is responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Responsible for working effectively with Team Leaders, Production Technicians, and other plant personnel. Performs other duties as assigned.
You Have
- Ability to work 1st Shift M – F along with overtime, as needed
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience maintaining manufacturing equipment
- A background in engineering
- Solid hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical knowledge, along with the ability to troubleshoot & problem solve
- Ability to interpret technical & operational documents, including manuals, blueprints, schematics
- ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on aerial platforms up to 20 feet with or without reasonable accommodation
