Job Description
Cardinal Staffing Services, is immediately hiring for a Repair Technician for a large, established client located in Machesney Park, IL. The Repair Tech will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of aerospace components.
Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation of $16-17 per hour as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.
Available shift is 1st 7am-4pm M-F
Responsibilities of the Repair Technician:
- Perform mechanical/pneumatic aerospace component assembly and sub-assembly.
- Conduct composite repairs using materials such as Kevlar, fiberglass, and associated resins.
- Repair aircraft leading edge surfaces, intakes, gas paths, oil coolers, cowlings, and interior seat backs.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) during extended periods of exposure to sanding dust.
- Paint experience is a plus.
- Inspect, repair, and recertify components in compliance with FAA, EASA, ISO, AS, and other applicable quality control standards.
- Ensure compliance with company forms and manuals.
- Conduct preliminary, hidden damage, and in-progress inspections.
- Maintain calibrated equipment and monitor shelf life items.
Preferred Qualifications of the Repair Technician:
- High School diploma or equivalent; A&P License desired.
- Mechanical Inclination
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Experience troubleshooting and creating repair processes.
- Proficiency in operating calibrated tools and simple machines.
- Strong documentation and computer skills.
- Competency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Proficiency in mathematical calculations
