Summary of Position: Provide friendly, responsive tableside service to create an exceptional dining experience for all Chart Room Restaurant customers. Servers must possess excellent sales, communication and interpersonal service skills and be willing to extend this to both internal and external customers. We wish our outstanding service to be one reason our customers return frequently. A server must enjoy customer interaction and service, must have superior knowledge of menu and alcohol menu options, possess reasonable computer skills, and physical stamina and agility to deliver food promptly and gracefully. Servers must be sociable and work well with other team members, including kitchen cooks, other wait staff, expediters, hosts, and management.

Server Responsibilities, and Essential Functions:

  1. Arrive in a happy state of mind ready to welcome and greet guests.

  1. Complete training and implement all Food Service standards issued by management.

  1. Perform opening and closing side work as directed. (Cleaning and setting dining area).

  1. Maintain a clean and well stocked station during entire shift.

  1. Be aware of daily specials, Resort-wide events, menu items out of stock, large reservations or groups and their special needs with seating or payment processing, etc.

  1. Ensure that all orders are accurate and delivered to each table in a timely manner.

  1. Immediately pick up, garnish, and deliver HOT FOOD as it is prepared.

  1. Deliver customer questions or clarifications to chef or bartender as appropriate.

  1. Ability to master restaurant POS ordering software (Mobile Bytes).

  1. Monitor and observe guest’s dining experience. Immediately inform the manager of negative reactions and comments.

  1. Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges, or make change. Assume accountability for collection of all tickets.

  1. Deliver joy to our customers every day.

Qualifications:

  1. Be of legal age to handle alcohol, possess a valid TAM card and valid Food Handlers Card

  1. Must have basic math skills, ability to multitask, and to handle money.

  1. Be able to stand for lengthy periods; bend and safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
