Overview: As an AJ’s Pizzeria Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for guests visiting our waterpark. You will work in a fast-paced environment, serving delicious food and beverages while upholding the highest standards of customer service and cleanliness. Your friendly demeanor and teamwork skills will contribute to creating a positive atmosphere for guests to relax and refuel during their waterpark adventures.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:
    • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist them with menu selections.
    • Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special dietary needs and preferences are accommodated.
    • Provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and allergens.
    • Handle customer inquiries, comments, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  2. Food Preparation and Presentation:
    • Prepare food items according to standardized recipes and portion sizes.
    • Ensure food is presented attractively and meets quality standards.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in food preparation areas, including food storage and handling procedures.
    • Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  3. Cash Handling and Transaction Processing:
    • Operate cash registers and handle cash, credit card, and electronic transactions accurately.
    • Calculate and process orders efficiently, ensuring correct change is given.
    • Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, following company procedures.
  4. Teamwork and Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth service operations.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and management to address any issues or concerns.
    • Support team members during peak periods by assisting with food preparation, serving, and cleaning tasks.
  5. Maintaining Cleanliness and Sanitation:
    • Clean and sanitize dining areas, tables, chairs, and condiment stations regularly.
    • Monitor and replenish supplies, such as napkins, utensils, and condiments, as needed.
    • Adhere to sanitation and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred but not required.
  • Bartending experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating change.
  • Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards, including food handling and sanitation guidelines.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the eatery area.
  • Capacity to lift and carry trays of food and beverages up to 25lbs.
  • Stamina to work in a hot and fast-paced environment.
