Roland Machinery Company is a family owned company that was established in 1958 and, is one of the Mid-West’s leading heavy equipment dealers representing more than twenty-five outstanding manufacturers of construction, municipal, industrial and forestry equipment; expanding across 5 states and 17 locations.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Using a variety of software packages to produce correspondence, documents, and maintain presentations, spreadsheets, and databases (primarily Excel, Power Point, & Word)
  • Responsible for the submittal of warranty claims to the proper vendor
  • Review all Warranty Claims for accuracy, completion, and prompt submittal
  • Responsible for development and execution of day-to-day business practices
  • Register 50 plus miscellaneous manufacturers warranties each month as they are sold
  • Purchase/Register extended and manufacture warranties for sold machines and stock machines throughout each month and the beginning of each month.
  • Submit machine inspection reports for new machines delivered to branches.
  • Submit inspection and delivery reports when machines are sold or go into the rental fleet.
  • Monitor vendor reimbursement and report monthly vendor judgement/payment status
  • Strive to improve claims processing time and efficiency, grow warranty revenue submittal and increase percentage of recovery
  • Assimilate and distribute all statistical reporting to appropriate personnel at month end close
  • Code all warranty memos to the correct machines for accounting to process.
  • Code all equipment and transportation invoices to the correct machines.
  • Coordinate with company’s salesmen and coordinators as they need warranty quotes for customers.
  • Able to always uphold confidentiality

Qualifications & Skills:

  • General knowledge of construction equipment preferred
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize job duties
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to learn vendor product and program information that will provide the necessary skill set required to be a resource to the team
  • Must understand the company objectives, and possess the ability to make decisions and undertake actions, which balance customer needs with company policies. This position requires the ability to translate management directives into plans and actions that will achieve the agreed upon goals as well as individual performance
  • Ability to effectively present information when needed and respond to questions from executives, managers, and customers
  • High degree of emotional maturity
  • Flexible and have well develop interpersonal skills
