Job Description
Salary:

Come explore Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community. Nestled on 125 acres in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Deerfield is an outstanding senior living community with a resort-like atmosphere.  Our nurses are a valued part of our care environment.  Come do what you do best in a workplace where you can grow your skills and grow beautiful relationships with our incredible residents at the same time.

We have opportunities for RNs and LPNs on 2nd or 3rd shit with competitive pay and an $8,500 sign-on bonus opportunity for full-time and $4,500 sign-on for part-time.  To support work/life satisfaction, our nurses share scheduling and work every other weekend and every other holiday.

With a low patient/nurse ratio, you’ll have an opportunity do your work in a high-quality environment, including:

  • Administer medications and assist with wound care
  • Assist with obtaining and processing orders
  • Assessments
  • Check vital signs
  • Coordinate and collaborate alongside an interdisciplinary clinical team to implement and assess a comprehensive plan of care
  • Provide encouragement, emotional support, and communication for residents and their loved ones
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to your team
  • Assist with resident care needs
  • Provide appropriate documentation

Our nurses have great skills, including a valid nurse license and CPR certification.  Whether you are brand new to nursing or are a seasoned professional, Deerfield provides the environment that supports your success and helps you grow.

Deerfield employees enjoy a full suite of benefits including PPO health insurance (no high deductible plans), dental, vision, 403(b) with employer match, generous time away, professional development, paid parental leave, adoption assistance and scholarship opportunities.  In addition, our employees enjoy access to many community amenities and a workplace culture that seamlessly blends heart and mind.

Deerfield is faith-based, nonprofit, open to all, and provides a continuum of services to empower residents to live life to the fullest. We enrich the lives of those who live and work at Deerfield and commit to be a leader in the field of aging services.  We provide a non-smoking campus and our employees provide either proof of COVID vaccine or provide a validated religious or medical exemption form.  All new employees must successfully complete a background check and drug screen as part of our onboarding process.

Deerfield is committed to providing access, equal employment opportunity and reasonable accommodation for individual with disabilities in all aspects of our employment, our services, programs and activities.  To request reasonable accommodation or for additional information, contact us at askhr@deerfieldwnc.org.
