SUMMARY:

Oversees, directs, plans, and coordinates activities of the finance, IT and procurement department to increase our efficiency in all aspects and to drive business insights to optimize company growth. Takes responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and helps drive the company’s financial strategy and hiring needs. Coordinates development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same. Ensures cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.

Develops and implements best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows. Complies with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Follows and supports all Company Safety policies and procedures
  • Works with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensures contract/grant compliance and reporting
  • Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyzes internal operations, and identifies areas for cost reduction and process enhancement
  • Performs risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluates and manages capital structure and fundraising initiatives
  • Monitors business performance with tracking tools, establishes corrective measures as needed, and prepares detailed reports for earnings calls, management team, and rest of company
  • Manages finance personnel and oversees financial IT systems, ensures compliance with relevant regulatory entities.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local procurement requirements in the selection of contractors, concessionaires, consultants and individuals providing goods or services to the company.
  • Develops and implements purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, equipment, and supplies.
  • Responsible for planning, implementing, managing and overseeing the overall use of Information Technologies at our company
  • Develops IT strategies in conjunction with our headquarter and implemented any assigned projects and or improvements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Leads and directs all personnel assigned to the Finance, IT & Procurement department. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:

  • B.S. required, advanced degree in finance or accounting preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance leadership role with an excellent understanding of business metrics
  • 5+ years of experience leading procurement and IT with an excellent understanding of business metrics
  • 5+ years of SAP experience
  • In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance, and other regulatory matters
  • Expert in fiscal management principles and processes including resource management and needs assessment
  • Understands financial reporting for and works well in an international corporate environment
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills

Computer and Technology Skills:

The successful candidate will be proficient in MS Office applications and SAP.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. German language speaking skills is another advantage.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
