Responsibilities:
- System and Component Design: Spearhead the creation and execution of electrical systems and components, ensuring innovative and efficient designs.
- Control Systems Oversight: Architect and perpetuate control systems, including the design of Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and the programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Technical Documentation and Analysis: Generate detailed power calculations, schematics, and comprehensive materials lists for projects.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard software tools such as Rockwell and Automation Direct for system development and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, providing reliable solutions.
- Electrical Department Support: Offer guidance within the electrical department, ensuring wiring standards and codes are meticulously followed.
- Field Operations: Engage in field visits to client sites for equipment start-ups, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to client success.
- Customer Technical Support: Deliver expert technical support and problem resolution to customers, enhancing client satisfaction.
- Process Engineering: Develop and refine industrial processes from the ground up, focusing on optimization, start-up, and certification.
- Data Analysis and Process Improvement: Analyze process data, conduct simulations, and implement enhancements to systems and processes.
- Project Management: Navigate cost and time limitations effectively, ensuring project milestones are met.
- Risk Management and Documentation: Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide comprehensive process documentation and operational instructions.
- Experience in Process Engineering: Demonstrated expertise in developing and optimizing industrial processes.
- Technical Proficiency: Exceptional technical skills with a solid understanding of process-related standards.
- Electrical and Controls Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and control logic.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in general Windows computer usage and specialized software such as Allen-Bradley RS Logix 5000, ControlLogix, Factory Talk View HMI, and Connected Components Workbench.
- PLC and HMI Programming: Experience in programming using the CompactLogix PLC platform with RS Logix 5000 software, and HMI development with FT View SE, Automation Direct.
- Design and Simulation: Skills in process simulations and familiarity with CAD or AutoCAD.
- Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the field.
- Analytical and Interpersonal Skills: Strong analytical capabilities paired with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Travel Requirement: Willingness and ability to travel as required for client and project needs.
- Customer Service Skills: Proven ability to interact effectively with customers.
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs): Experience with the selection, configuration, and troubleshooting of VFDs.
- Advanced Software Knowledge: Additional proficiency in software packages beyond the required qualifications, particularly in advanced engineering or design tools.
- Project Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, ensuring successful project outcomes within designated timelines and budgets.
- Innovative Problem-Solving: Ability to approach technical challenges with innovative solutions, improving process efficiency and system reliability.
