SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley is seeking a Utilities Safety Professional to join our growing team. Based out of the Utilities York, PA office, the Safety Professional is responsible for assuring applicable safety requirements are communicated to all workers, incorporated in work methods, and inspecting the work to ensure that safety measures and instructions are applied. Additional duties include preparing Hazard Analysis Plans, Accident Prevention Plans, accident reporting/investigation and training employees on safety in the utilities fields.
A successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, be self-motivated and be willing to commute to job sites as required. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- On-boarding sub-contractors to ensure they comprehend what is required by them on a Kinsley Site
- Inspecting job sites and machinery for potential hazards and ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations
- Conducting investigations into workplace incidents
- Attend meetings with onsite management to promote workplace safety
- Developing training materials that reduce employees' exposure to hazardous materials and situations
- Train employees in a range of different topics (confined spaces, trenching & excavating, fall protection, CPR/FA, etc.)
- Work exceptionally well with employees, customers and business associates at all levels with a professional attitude
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Experience in utilities safety is preferred
- Degree or safety credential preferred
- Must be willing to commute to job sites as required
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Knowledge of and/or experience with the rules and regulations of Workers Comp, OSHA, and DOT
- OSHA 10 & 30 HR preferred
- Valid driver's license is required
