Job Description
POSITION INFORMATION
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Production for CITY Laundering facility. Provide leadership, guidance, and oversite to direct reports. Ensure that the plant is run efficiently, is well maintained and is clean and presentable. Deal directly with the Service Department to resolve issues which may occur.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and maintain an attitude of teamwork and camaraderie among Production Staff through daily interaction.
- Oversee the production processes, making sure goods are processed on time with acceptable quality.
- Set and make sure production schedules are adhered to.
- Oversee the washroom operations and ensure that quality and efficiency is maintained.
- Regularly issue reports to upper management.
- Deal directly with the District Managers to ensure any problems or questions are resolved.
- Maintain merchandise expenses within acceptable parameters.
- Assist with hiring and interviewing as required.
- Assist with employee coaching as needed.
- Conduct regular and timely performance evaluations with direct reports.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations that affect plant operations.
- Set and communicate quality standards to maintain these goals.
- Promote CITY’s vision, Mission, and Values throughout the organization.
- Any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prefer previous production experience, but not required.
- Physical demands may or may not include the following: ability to continuously stand, bend, rotate trunk, reach out and/or up, lift and/or carry, climbing and grasping.
- Must also be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Attention to detail is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
