Job Description

We are pleased to share that Industrial Finishes is seeking a Business Development Representative to serve at our new Warner Robins location!

About AIS

AIS is a certified hazardous material supplier for military and aerospace. For over 20 years and with combined 40 years' experience, we apply our knowledge and partnerships with coatings and sealant manufacturers to serve our worldwide customers in areas of: training, inventory control, shelf-life management, application process controls, and introduction of new/current technology, technical innovations, and equipment. We are passionate about what we do and commit ourselves to customer satisfaction!

AIS is owned by Industrial Finishes & Systems, Inc headquartered in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Founded in 1958, we are one of the nation's leading distributors of paint, equipment and supplies. We serve the automotive, recreational vehicle, aerospace, military, marine and industrial/panel markets through a growing nationwide network of 35 distribution centers. Our customers are fun! They build award-winning hot rods, refinish aircraft and manage technically-sophisticated production facilities. Our suppliers are among the best companies in the world, and we're on the forefront of technology that is driving our industry and changing the world.

Blessed with continual growth, we've expanded into Oklahoma! We're looking for a highly motivated business development professional with strong sales skills, a growth mindset and powerful work ethics to build-up a strong, loyal customer base in this territory. We have the products; we need your confidence, ambition and humility.

About the Position

In this position you will demonstrate your proven experience in industrial paint and industrial chemical sales, providing one-on-one, unparalleled sales-oriented service! Aerospace sales exposure and knowledge of military installations are a plus but not required. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining key accounts and sales opportunities as well as support product development - while promoting our company products, values and vision.

What's Important To Us Must Be Important To You:

  • We feel Industrial Finishes is not just another company and not just another wholesale distributor. We have competitors just like everyone else. Apart from them is our pursuit for innovation and growth - while holding onto our family culture and Christian belief. Please see the ownership's statement of faith on our website.
  • Our founder has a relentless commitment to doing things in a way that honors the Lord. Many of our team members share the same values.
  • Our Core Values:
  • Openness and humility from top to bottom of the organization - Arrogance kills off learning and growth by blinding us to our own weaknesses. Strength comes out of receptivity and the willingness to learn from others.
  • An environment of accountability and personal responsibility - Denial, blame and excuses harden relationships and intensify conflict. Successful teams hold each other accountable and willingly accept personal responsibility.
  • Freedom for risk-taking within appropriate limits - Both extremes - an excessive, reckless risk-taking and a stifling, fearful control - threaten any organization. Freedom to risk new ideas flourishes best within appropriate limits.
  • A fierce commitment to "do it right" - Mediocrity is easy; excellence is hard work, and there are many temptations for shortcuts. A search for excellence always inspires both inside and outside an organization.
  • A willingness to tolerate and learn from mistakes - Punishing honest mistakes stifles creativity. Learning from mistakes encourages healthy experimentation and converts negatives into positives.
  • Unquestioned integrity and consistency - Dishonesty and inconsistency undermine trust. Organizations and relationships thrive on clarity, transparency, honesty, and reliable follow-through.
  • A pursuit of collaboration, integration, and holistic thinking - Turf wars and narrow thinking are deadly. Drawing together the best ideas and practices, integrating the best people into collaborative teams, multiplies organizational strength.
  • Courage and persistence in the face of difficulty - The playing field is not always level, or life fair, but healthy cultures remain both realistic about the challenges they face and unintimidated and undeterred by difficulty.

If this opportunity is perfect for you, we look forward to hearing how your leadership competencies and trade skills separate you from the rest.
