Job Summary:

The Security Engineer will have a working knowledge of information assurance and security engineering. This role involves conducting security analyses, evaluations, and developing security documentation.

Requirements:

Background and Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support SCA-V tasks, providing Security Control Assessments (SCAs) for assigned systems. This includes assessing system compliance with security controls, policies, regulations, and standards. Security Engineers are integral to the SCA-V Team and may be required to lead the team through all phases of the task.

  • Provide Security Control Assessments (SCAs) for assigned systems, ensuring compliance with security controls, policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Lead the SCA-V team, overseeing the inspection of devices under different task sizes (very small to large) after applying the Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) Sampling Rate.
  • Work with the staff these tasks with appropriate resources.
  • Participate in the Tiger Team to investigate and solve cybersecurity issues in the field.
  • Independently work and collaborate with the team and Government at the site.
  • Conduct security analysis and network/systems security assessments.
  • Evaluate security products and secure information systems.
  • Develop security certification and accreditation documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in Information Security.
  • Must meet the certification requirements for an IASAE-II position as per the latest versions of DoD 8570.01-M and the Army Information Assurance Training and Certification Best Business Practice.
  • DoD Secret Clearance
