Expos ensure quality and proper food presentation in a timely manner. Food orders are prepared and assembled quickly according to recipes and procedures to avoid waste. Candidates will be responsible for the flow of the food line, ensuring they receive orders, relaying any changes to the kitchen, monitoring the progress and ensure the kitchen puts out the dishes according to the ticket’s specifications, and notifying servers of readiness of orders. Food line must always be stocked, neat and clean.

Job Duties: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Complete knowledge of food and beverage preparation.
  • Ensure all kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and according to menu and customer specifications.
  • Communicating with all servers and cook-line personnel
  • Guarantee all food items are accountable according to the POS check
  • Finalize the presentation of the plate and test the temperature of the food.
  • Monitor progress and ensure food orders keep flowing from the kitchen to the diners
  • Maintain and stock station specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
  • Position duties may include ant other tasks as deemed necessary by restaurant managers in order to fulfill the needs of the restaurant.
Requirements:

Must have previous restaurant server/expeditor experience.

  • Successfully calling out order across cook line and maintain composure in a lot and ability to communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, team members and guests.)
  • Strong organizational, coordination and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledgeable in safe food handling and sanitation, along with safety cooking procedures.
  • California Food Handler Card is required for all foodservice employees who prepare, store, serve food.
