You have found the perfect CDL Driver position to develop and grow your professional career. Haren Construction Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Transport Driver to oversee the safe transport and delivery of construction equipment. With a license to work across eleven states of the southeast, this driver will be responsible for operating a flatbed trailer to haul heavy construction equipment to our various job locations.

General Responsibilities:
  • Must comply with all local, state, and federal transportation laws per the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
  • Applicant to assist in the unloading and setup of equipment on site while following proper safety regulations.
  • Must be able to perform visual inspections on machines and report conditions/ deficiencies.
  • Work is performed in all types of environmental conditions. This position can involve lifting (up to 75 pounds), pushing, pulling, and bending. Applicants must be able to stand and walk on uneven surfaces and climb on ladders.
  • Between trips, applicants will work alongside the mechanical crew in Etowah, TN.
Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a current CDL Class A License
  • Driver must have safe driving records (clean MVR)
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively to various construction sites as needed (up to 3 overnight travel arrangements a week)
  • Able to operate manual transmission
  • Prior experience operating lowboy trailers
  • Prior operating experience with heavy equipment (such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, etc.)

  • Haren offers competitive compensation based on experience and success with starting rates of $25/hr
  • Full-time employment with at least 40 hours a week
  • Out-of-town living expenses (includes all meals and hotel stay)
  • Following 58 days of full-time employment, you may be eligible for benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision
  • Following 90 days of full-time employment, employees are eligible for 401(k) and sick/personal leave
