Traffic Sign Installer/General Labor (South Dakota- Temporary)

Looking for Temporary work for the 2024 construction season? Compass Consultants is hiring entry-level *temporary* Traffic Sign Installers in Eastern South Dakota!

We offer a base wage starting at $21.00/hr with portions of our work being paid at prevailing wages.

This position will require travel throughout South Dakota/Minnesota. While traveling, we pay perdiem at $24.00/day plus hotel costs.

This temporary position will be responsible to provide high-quality roadway signage installation, by working either independently or as part of a sign installation crew.

We require you have the following:

• The ability to travel
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license free from an inordinate amount of violations

We prefer the following skills and experience:

• Experience with highway construction, use of hand and power tools, power equipment digging equipment, and skid steer operation is preferred
• Previous experience in sign installation or similar trade preferred
• Understanding of roadway signage and its intended purpose to be able to determine if the work order and installation makes sense
• Class A commercial driver's license a plus
