Bradford Health Services, a leader in the substance use disorder recovery industry, is looking for an Alumni Coordinator to support our Estate at River Bend facility located in Lucedale, MS.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Alumni Coordinator - Residential Facilities

Department: Administration

Reports to: Chief Clinical Officer

Supervises: N/A

Entry Level Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or related field preferred or HS/GED Diploma with minimum of 5 years’ experience in related field. Five years of marketing experience preferred. Minimum 4-years’experience in chemical dependency treatment setting preferred. Must have good communication skills both written and verbal. Must be skilled in use of office equipment and computer technology. Along with Corporate Director of Marketing assist with layout and design of newsletters. Must have good organizational skills and able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to make presentations before groups.

1. Must have valid Driver's License.

2. Must be able to traverse inside and outside residential facilities often three to four miles per eight-hour shift.

3. Must be able to move and transport marketing display weighing approximately 50 lbs.

4. If recovering, must have two (2) years of continuous, verifiable abstinence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision and direction, the Alumni Coordinator must plan and implement a program to facilitate the involvement of patients and their family with the residential facilities and the recovering community upon their transfer to Continuing Care. The Coordinator plans, organizes, and implements the marketing, sales and community relations efforts for the residential facilities within Bradford and in the recovery community. The Coordinator role is a full-time professional position.

  1. Coordinate enrollment of all discharging patients into the alumni program.
  2. Presents information on alumni program to patients before discharge.
  3. Organize and attend any alumni events that take place at the residential locations.
  4. Evaluate and coordinate alumni participation in speaker meetings on campus.
  5. Work with the Corporate Marketing Director to publish a quarterly newsletter for distribution to involved alumni, EAP’s, etc.
  6. Maintain a mailing list of alumni for use by local facilities, alumni groups, etc.
  7. Work directly with the Peer Support team to increase engagement in alumni program and Bradford’s continuum of care.
  8. Possesses a complete working knowledge of clinical programs and guidelines, ideal client population, company values and admission process.
  9. Works with alumni for creation of special projects and alumni contributions for various newsletters.
  10. Coordinates Recharge Events and Banquets for Alumni and Continuing Care.
  11. Creates community recovery events throughout the communities Bradford serves.
  12. Develops new and innovative ways to increase alumni participation and enrollment into alumni program.
  13. Develops and maintains alumni database.
  14. Collect and report results and performance metrics for alumni events and activities.
  15. Works on developing and maintaining relationships with sober living programs in order to grow alumni population and ensure programs meet Bradford standards for referral.
  16. Attends staff meetings and/or treatment team meetings to stay current with treatment programs and proactively address possible patient discharge concerns.
  17. Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness as to perform the job in a safe manner.
  18. Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, managers, clients and prospective clients.
  19. Regular attendance.
  20. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Self-starter, ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects, customer service, strong written and verbal communication, fiscal and budgetary responsibility.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Proficient in all Social Media platforms.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Display willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgment and supports and explains reasoning effectively.
  • Adaptability to manage competing demands and management styles.

Know and abide by the general provisions of 42 CFR Part 2, “Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patient Records”; and 45 CFR “Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act”. This position has limited access to patient health information.
