Salary: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Summit County Mountain Retreats is searching for local entry-level, intermediate, and advanced maintenance technicians. Whether you are a self-proclaimed handyman that is constantly fixing things around the house, or an experienced maintenance professional with the skills to back it up, we want to pay you top dollar for your talents! We will provide everything you will need to be successful in this role, including: tools, a company vehicle, a supportive team, and even on-the-job training for entry-level employees. All we need is you!


JOB DESCRIPTION


As a Maintenance Technician at Summit County Mountain Retreats, you will be taking a hands-on approach to managing and maintaining over 500 properties. Each day, you will complete unit inspections, repairs, and other general maintenance tasks at various properties and locations as assigned by management. This position will require you to be able to work both independently and as a member of a team. The ideal candidate is looking for a stable, long-term position that will give them an opportunity to use and develop their skills to grow within the company and foster a team-focused environment. We always prefer to promote from within our existing staff whenever possible; several members of our staff have been with us for over a decade and have advanced from entry level positions to top management.


COMPENSATION

  • $22.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience
  • $1,000 sign-on bonus


SCHEDULE

  • Full-time
  • Flexible schedule 
  • Day/Afternoon shifts
  • Weekends and holidays required


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose a variety of maintenance issues, including:
    • Plumbing
    • Appliances and other household electronics 
    • Cable/internet 
    • Electrical
    • Painting and drywall
    • HVAC
    • Carpentry
  • Snow removal when necessary
  • General hot tub maintenance and upkeep 
  • Perform preventative maintenance on properties, equipment, and tools
  • Complete work orders in an efficient and effective manner
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed
  • Ensures properties are fully functional prior to guest and/or owner arrivals

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MUST HAVE LOCAL HOUSING (Required)
  • Valid US driver’s license (Required)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (Required)
  • Prior maintenance experience is NOT required, but is preferred


SKILLS

  • Ability to interact with guests/clients in a friendly and professional manner when necessary
  • Basic understanding of computers, phones, and tablets
  • Ability to work quickly without compromising your safety or the quality of your work
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • General understanding of a variety of tools and when to use them
