Are you looking for an opportunity to utilize your expertise as a Registered Nurse in support of a Global Employee Health Services team while providing care to employees in a global organization?  If so, this is the role for you.

As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will be responsible for implementing and managing the Haleon Occupational Health Program.  You will also provide medical care and wellbeing for employees at specific sites.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.  These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Ensure quality and compliance in accordance with established procedures and standards of the Quality System.
  • Comply with and support the Company Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Provides clinical nursing assessment and nursing management of occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, following current Nursing Guidelines and Medical Directives.
  • Provides emergency medical response to designated areas in the facility during clinic hours.
  • Identifies employees with actual or potential occupational exposures, including chemical, biological, and ergonomic, and determines the need for baseline and annual medical surveillance.
  • Files work-related injury and illness claims with Broadspire, the Workers’ Compensation carrier.
  • Following the Employee Request for Accommodation procedure, with the goal of keeping employees productive at work while recovering. This involves collaboration with the Disability Case Management team, HR, medical providers, Broadspire and other key stakeholders.
  • Liaises with other EHSW staff by identifying trends in Occupational Injuries and Illnesses
  • Attendance at monthly and periodic Employee Health/EHSW meetings, assisting with incident investigation as needed and supporting safety initiatives within the workplace.
  • Participates in workplace ergonomic assessments with the site Ergonomic Improvement Team, ordering appropriate ergonomic tools and assistive devices as needed to support a healthy work environment.
  • Serves as a health and wellbeing resource to all company employees.
  • Provides health education designed to prevent injury and illness.
  • Maintains and safeguards confidentiality of employee health information and health record in accordance with Company confidentiality policy and records retention procedures.
  • Site lead for needs assessment and deployment of appropriate Health and Wellbeing programs.
  • Site Lead for Hearing Conservation and Respiratory Protection Program and assist IH in managing the Sensitizer Program.
  • Maintain information in EHSW One and Cority Electronic Medical Record system, OSHA Recordkeeping and compliance to submissions and postings of OSHA 300 Log.
  • SOP Development and comply with Corporate Guidance Documents.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Registered Nurse with 1+ years of occupational health experience

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse credential (COHN) or Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist credential (COHN-S)
  • 2+ years experience with OSHA
  • Occupational first aid trainer
  • Experience in handling illness related to exposure to chemical agents
  • Ability to make critical decisions regarding medical issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

The salary range for this position will be $76,879 - $115,300.
