API Developer - Part-time

Description:

As an API Developer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining APIs for our web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize APIs, ensure their security and scalability, and troubleshoot any issues or bugs. This role is based in Plano, TX, with flexibility for some remote work.

Qualifications

· Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#

· Experience designing, developing, and consuming APIs

· Knowledge of RESTful principles and API documentation

· Understanding of web technologies and protocols, such as HTTP, JSON, and XML

· Experience with database systems, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL

· Knowledge of version control systems, like Git

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills

· Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus

· Experience working in Azure DevOps, is a plus

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, is a plus

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a business sense as they will be working with C level.

This is not an order taker role. This person will be leaned on to help provide guidance on the APIs. 10 yrs. or less. They are hyper team focused.

Strong comm skills. Understanding of Azure, containerization is a huge plus.

They will start out assessing 3rd party APIs they are using. See if they need them, enhance or maybe even build their own in-house.

Scrum /Agile.
