Description

Leidos Dynetics Defense Systems is seeking a talented Production Test Technician to join a diverse team to create unique solutions to complex problems for it's Hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Leidos Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. The selected candidate will support the Common Hypersonic Glide Body program (C-HGB). 

Primary Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work along a group of test engineers (electrical/mechanical) and test technicians, performing acceptance and qualification testing of flight hardware.  The selected candidate will also handle all tasks assigned by the lead technician and may aid in writing reports and updating records. The candidate will be part of a diverse team whose work will include setting up test equipment, performing functional testing of avionics components, setting up dynamic/climatic test environments, and subsystem AI&T. Work will be conducted a laboratory environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate must have a High School Diploma/GED and have at least 3 years of relevant experience in the testing of electronic assemblies.

  • Candidate must demonstrate relevant skills in one or more focus areas, have good interpersonal skills, and have the desire to work in a highly focused technical team.

  • Candidate must be able to work from production drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

  • Candidate must possess basic skills using hand tools, electrical troubleshooting (DMM), and MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Candidate must be able to work independently, or as part of a team, in a dedicated workforce.

  • Candidate must be able to lift 25 lbs.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in environmental testing including thermal, vacuum, shock and vibration in accordance with MIL-STD-810.

  • An associate degree or higher in a relevant electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing field.

  • Have familiarity with working with electrical schematics and cable/wiring diagrams.

  • Have advanced experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and other manufacturing documentation.

  • Organizational skills to document test procedures, test reports and support configuration management of the test equipment.

  • Explosive/Ordnance training.

  • Torque and/or Safety Wire.

  • Experience in the functional testing of avionics components.

  • Material handling equipment:  forklifts and/or overhead cranes.

Pay Range:Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
