Systems Engineer

Systems Engineer: Robert Half is supporting a local client who needs a Systems Engineer to join the team. The Systems engineer will be a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure. Interested? The ideal candidate will have experience in IT engineering working with Microsoft products. This is a contract to permanent opportunity in Lafayette, Louisiana. This role is hybrid, with some on-site work required. This role does not support C2C or must be eligible to work in the U.S..
Responsibilities - Offer 2nd and 3rd level support - Display active participation to warrant the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability - Observe and verify application performance for potential bottlenecks, mark possible solutions, and join with developers to instrument those fixes - Maintain, configure, install, and test system management tools, operating systems, and application software - Communicate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution - Join in on the plan of design of information and operational support systems - Preside over and regulate all installed systems and infrastructure - Compose and sustain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks - Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies -Participate in cloud infrastructure management -Use automation to create task efficiency

Qualifications - Applicants should have experience with monitoring systems - Experience with virtualization and containerization is required for success at this position - Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks - This position will be the best fit for a candidate who have solid networking knowledge - Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems - Applicants should have experience with automation software - Solid scripting skills -Proficiency in SCCM Technology - Expertise in Microsoft Azure -Expertise in InTune implementations and management - Comprehensive knowledge of Intune - Proficiency in Access Management.
