Summary of Functions

Responsible for an assigned bank of currency, and coin, uses multiply software programs; services and interacts with Casino guest by performing the following duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians - State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.

Safeguards Northern Quest Casino bankroll.

Maintains accurate bank balance in excess of $40,000

Sells and redeems player terminal tickets tickets.

Sells and Redeems Gift Cards through the IG system.

Performs patron management functions including and not limited to, setting up guest account, issuing comps, printing player cards, updated guest information, redeeming rewards.

Redeems Coupons

Redeems vouchers through the Epicentral system.

Redeems Promotional Payout Vouchers

Exchanges foreign currency by accurately computing exchange rate.

Exchanges cash and chips for customers following specific cash and chip handling procedures.

Follows current check cashing and credit/debit advance policies while processing checks and credit/debit transactions through the appropriate software.

Works as a team with other team members to maintain the best service standards available.

Assures that all items of value are secured when leaving work area.

Calls for assistance when any transaction is suspicious

Notifies a supervisor in case of a discrepancy with a guest or any other irregularity.

Assists with tracking all reportable transactions in accordance with Title 31 requirements.

Maintains confidentiality of casino and guest operations data.

Prepares issues and receives poker dealer banks.

Assists poker department in multiple duties associated with poker tournaments, live poker games and poker payouts.

Reconcile bank at end of shift

Provides exceptional guest service to all external and internal casino guests utilizing the principals of the core values

Ensures control/protection of company assets.

Maintains a neat and orderly working space as to present a professional image.

Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels.

Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.

Responsible for attending mandatory training classes and department meetings

May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings.

Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Experience

Two year of prior cashiering or cash handling experience or working in a fast pace, multi task environment or an equivalent combination of both.

Skills

Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and cash processing software.

Ability to handle cash accurately

Delivery of outstanding, attentive and friendly service to customers.

Requires ability to operate a 10 key.

Ability to handle stress, remain calm and courteous and handle a wide variety of clientele.

Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department heads, team members,

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios to practical solutions.

Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License and a Class III Gaming License.

Completion and passing score on a cage math test.
