PURPOSE


The Electrical Superintendent functions as a leader of TEC Electric having consistent interaction with our customers, clients, and assigned crew of electricians. The Electrical Superintendent will oversee the needs of day-to-day job sites, plan, coordinate and manage the activities of any given project. The Electrical Superintendent will maintain accountability of productivity, labor cost, employee guidance and engagement to ensure organizational policies and standards are continually met.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provide progressive leadership to project crews of highly skilled journey leveled electricians and assistants.
  • Assign projects to appropriately qualified crew, provide work and safety instruction and monitor work in progress statuses making changes where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain departmental project manuals, query, and analyze relevant ad-hoc reports.
  • Perform monthly one-on-one performance evaluations on all reports to ensure consistent policy expectations are set and met organizational wide.
  • Execute thorough electrical inspections to ensure appropriate building and safety codes, specifications, and sound trade practices are met.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design departments, interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintain working knowledge of wiring and conduit work.
  • Oversees performance of general electrical installations, maintenance, and repair work to ensure all jobs are being completed in timely manner using the highest standards.
  • Coordinate staffing, material and equipment needs, prepare accurate cost and time estimates to ensure budgets are met.
  • Implement processes aimed at employee engagement, retention, and continual job satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • At least 8 years of experience
  • Associate Degree in related field required OR relevant work experience
