This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.

Ameritas is seeking an Information Security Intern to drive the business by delivery of IT security services or functions. This position would perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.

This internship will start either in December 2023 or May 2024 depending on availability.

What you do

• Assist Enterprise Security in the various areas of responsibility the department is charged with.
• Departments would include:
• Secure Cloud Computing
• Vulnerability Management
• Security Operations
• Risk Management

What you bring

• Actively enrolled in an Information Technology or Information Security degree program
• Able to fulfill a year-round commitment - part-time during the academic school year and full-time during the summer
• PT includes 10-20 hours a week
• FT includes 30-40 hours a week
• Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Desire to learn and grow
• Effective documentation skill for process and standard development
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with others
• Familiarity with programming or scripting languages strongly desired
