The Congressional Research Service, Knowledge Services Group is offering a 120-day opportunity for a qualified individual) to serve on a temporary basis as a Reference Librarian in the Reference & Instruction Services Section.

The Reference Librarian provides reference and instruction services to Members of Congress and their staff on a wide variety of public policy topics. Staffs congressional research centers during regular hours of operation. Provides liaison services to promote the use of CRS research services. Manages print and electronic research materials using standard library methods, techniques, and concepts.

Reference Responsibilities

The selectee will work a 40-hour week with up to eight (8) of those hours providing reference and liaison services in the Longworth Agency Connection Center on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and/or Fridays.
