Job Description

Jefferson Solutions, the well-respected government consulting company of Jefferson Consulting Group, an award-winning woman-owned small business, is seeking a Senior Exercise Subject Matter Expert to support Operational Command Training Program (OCTP) directed activities with respect to all Tier 1 and major AFCHQ exercises, joint- operational warfighter exercises, senior-level academics, and senior-level developmental seminars and summits at both CONUS and OCONUS locations.

  • Conduct executive-level training, advise, and assist the operational-AFCHQ staffs, at the Director and Division Chief level.

  • Identify and institutionalize the "best of breed" capabilities for developing the Air Force's command and control process knowledge, systems applications, and warfighting leadership.

  • Interact with warfighters during major exercises, experiments, war games, tests, senior officer training, and academic courses.

  • Deliver instruction in academic venues (i.e., lecture, seminar, and practicum) as well as over-the-shoulder during dynamic exercise environments.

  • Provide peer- level advice, assistance, training, and performance feedback to warfighting professionals, enhancing their leadership and command and control skills at the operational level of war.

  • Instruct in 705 TRS academic training programs, when requested.


Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience as Combat Plans Division Chief, performing leadership duties during multiple exercises or real-world contingencies.

  • Experienced in AFCHQ AOC and AFFOR operations at the operational level of warfare.

  • Practical experience executing the joint planning process and actively participated in multiple planning events.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in strategy development and combat operations execution and the relationship between CPD, SRD, and COD

  • Working knowledge of requisite Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS) applications pertinent to job performance.

  • Familiarity with new capabilities and systems to include, but not limited to, Slapshot, Maven, Direct, MARS, and Fight Tonight.

  • Strong working knowledge and application of joint and USAF doctrine, to include USAF service and functional component roles and relationships. Comprehensive knowledge of TET responsibilities, including development of Joint Integrated Prioritized Target List (JIPTL).

  • Strong working knowledge of MAAP team responsibilities, including development of comprehensive Air Battle Plan.

  • Working knowledge of ATO production requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of SPINS development requirements

  • Working knowledge of airspace and support required for Airspace Control Authority and development of the airspace and airspace control order.

  • Strong knowledge of Joint Fires and how the Air Component integrates in this environment.

  • Demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work with Senior Air Force, Component, and Coalition leadership.

  • Specialized C2 training (i.e., C2WAC, SAAS, SAMS, SAWS, JSSC, etc.) and cross-functional experience (i.e., service component and/or JTF/combatant command ops/plans staff principal) highly desired.

  • Knowledge and application of exercise development, training management, and Universal Joint Task List (UJTL) based training objectives.

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from a regionally accredited university or college

  • The ability to work as an individual or as part of a team in a high pressure, fast-moving, ever-changing environment.

  • The ability to identify requirements and initiate and complete solutions without detailed direction.

  • TS/SCI security clearance eligibility
