Job Title : Test System Hardware/Software Engineer
Location: Middletown, RI
Wage Range: 50-52 depending on years of experience and qualifications

Job Description: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Test System Hardware/Software Engineer to work from their Middletown, RI facility. As a test system hardware/software engineer, you'll be a member of a cross functional team and responsible for the design, implementation, assembly and integration of test systems to support test and evaluation of custom electro-mechanical equipment.

Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.


CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Expertise in digital and analog acquisition hardware (e.g. National Instruments products), power supplies, function generators, and sensors such as current meters, accelerometers
  • Software architecting; software coding in the LabWindows/CVI development environment; developing software to control COTS test equipment; and signal processing via COTS libraries
