Ropes Course Staff is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of a multi-level High Ropes Course facilitating a safe and one-of-a-kind guest experience.

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

Major Duties/Specific Tasks

  • Facilitate the safe use of the 90 element High Ropes Course.
  • Provide safety briefings and equipment instruction to customers prior to them entering the course.
  • Ensure proper set up, take down, and daily safety checks of all course elements.
  • Ensure customers are following all established safety standards and park rules.
  • Provide great customer service.
  • Assist with staff meetings and in-service trainings.
  • May assist with handling money and associated paperwork.
  • Assist with routine maintenance/repair of equipment.
  • Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies including performing rescues on the climbing course.
  • Administer first aid to injured patrons.
  • Assist with maintaining record logs on inspections, employee training, visitation, and injury.
  • Report unsafe conditions to the Ropes Course Supervisor, High Ropes Specialist or Park Manager.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Ropes Course Supervisor, High Ropes Specialist or Park Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Comfortable with heights.
  • Successful completion of High Ropes Course training annually.
  • Certification or ability to obtain certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public.
  • Ability to operate cash registers and handle cash accurately.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to learn the operation of the facility and to obtain a working knowledge of NOVA Parks.
  • Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties including custodial tasks.
  • Availability to work a variable work schedule, which may include early and late hours, and weekends and holidays.
  • Possession or ability to obtain valid driver's license, must maintain safe driving record.
  • Required to wear standard uniform.
