  • Have some time as technician under your belt, preferably with a construction equipment background.
  • Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 90 pounds
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of heavy construction equipment
  • Able to work a rotating on-call weekend schedule
  • Provide high quality control standards while maintaining high levels of equipment readiness
  • Frequent exposure to the elements
  • Experience with Diesel engines, Electrical and Hydraulic systems, telehandlers, various diaphragm pumps, and air brake systems is required

About the Position

  • Work Environment: Mechanics in this role often work outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions such as rain, snow, or sunshine. They may need to perform repairs and maintenance in less than ideal weather conditions.
  • Safety: This is a safety-sensitive position, which means that mechanics must adhere to strict safety protocols to protect themselves and others while working with heavy machinery and equipment. Safety is a top priority to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Mechanics in this role are responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance on diesel and aerial equipment. This includes tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections to ensure the equipment is in good working condition. They also need to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with the equipment and perform necessary repairs.
  • Variety of Equipment: Mechanics work with a range of equipment, including diesel engines, aerial lifts, and smaller tools. They need to be familiar with the specific maintenance and repair requirements of each type of equipment. We do provide continuous training for all of our mechanics.
  • Safety Compliance: Mechanics must adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures to minimize risks associated with working on heavy machinery.
