Underwriting Professional I - K&K Sports Division Underwriter

Aon is looking for a Underwriting Professional I (Underwriter)!

K&K Insurance is a leading provider of specialty coverage in the exciting areas of sports, leisure, recreation, motorsports and events. As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our K&K Insurance Sport business group within Aon Affinity. This is a hybrid position based out of our Fort Wayne, IN office.

Your Impact as an Underwriter

Within stipulated underwriting authority limits, this position is accountable for reviewing and evaluating applications for insurance coverages in order to classify the degree of insurable risk and determine appropriate premium amounts.

Essential Job Functions

• Evaluate insurance applications and related documents, including inspection reports, financial statements, loss data, MVR's, and other information needed to properly evaluate and classify the degree of risk in relation to proposed coverage limits.
• Obtain all relevant information not included with the initial submission to ensure a thorough evaluation of the risk.
• Review renewal business and recommend appropriate actions to attain premium rate and loss ratio objectives.
• Prepare own or review other quotations/proposals for presentation to potential clients.
• Approve the coverages requested within specified underwriting authority, either as submitted or on a modified basis, or decline the risk in its entirety; refer with recommended action if risk exceeds underwriting authority.

• Develop and maintain positive and constructive working relationships with the company's marketing professionals and their productions sources in order to attract and retain clients.

• Review policy forms used in specific programs to ensure consistency and keep producers informed regarding coverage issues;

Requirements

• P&C License.
• LAH License.
• 3-5+ years of demonstrated proficient technical underwriting expertise.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate education and/or work experience

The salary range for this position is $50,600 to $67,500 annually + 15% target bonus annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
