The CAHPS Manager will be responsible for driving the efforts to monitor and improve CAHPS goals by developing, implementing and monitoring a successful strategy to achieve client CAHPS goals and objectives. This position will engage across the organization and with UMR clients to operationalize key efforts in monitoring and achieving improvements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acts as primary CAHPS Manager
  • Collaborating with leadership, develop and drive tactical plan that can be leveraged across the enterprise to achieve CAHPS goals
  • Manages vendor relationships to support CAHPS program
  • Analyzes key KPI's and data to derive progress and opportunities for improvement
  • Establishes and reviews performance metrics on a regular basis to ensure efforts are on track to deliver results, conducts executive level presentations to highlight progress, challenges and opportunities
  • Works closely with leadership teams to ensure results of member satisfaction/retention activities are consistent with objectives
  • Identifies technology support needs that help facilitate CAHPS goals
  • Manage projects and interventions from inception to completion
  • Assists markets with CAHPS related support activities as appropriate (i.e-questions, training, data, etc.)
  • Maintains integrity and quality of data and assures data conformity meets operational requirements and goals
  • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Support short- and long-term operational/strategic business activities through analysis
  • Highlight operational trends to management supporting strategy for remediation if needed
  • Work with others to drive the identification of the skills, duration and effort required for successful project execution
  • Establish/apply quality objectives, criteria, standards and levels using appropriate quality management methods, with stakeholder input (e.g. key performance indicators, scope definition)
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years working experience in CAHPS implementation, strategy and quality improvement compliance activities
  • 5+ years of experience working in a complex matrixed work environment with competing priorities
  • Experience in vendor relationship management
  • Project management experience in a managed healthcare setting
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in primary state of residence
  • Experience using collaboration and diplomacy to work as part of a matrixed, inter-disciplinary team
  • Experience with content creation, storytelling, and ability to define key takeaways for clinical, operational and financial stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of HEDIS measures, strategy, implementation and management
  • Proven solid executive presence and client-facing skills; Customer-oriented
  • Proven solid communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Proven to be self-motivated; able to manage several projects at once
  • Proven to be skilled at engaging decision-makers and stakeholders by presenting compelling real-time reports
  • Proven exceptional writing and presentation skills, including use of PowerPoint

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
