Sodexo is seeking a part time Registered Dietitian (20 hours per week) for Union Hospital located in Terre Haute, IN.  Union Hospital is part of the Union Health System which provides seamless care for patients and their families. Union Hospital has the area's largest emergency room including a level 3 trauma center.  The Clinical Dietitians are responsible for assessing and providing nutrition intervention for diverse patients. Union Hospital has a level III NICU, Pediatric, Medical, Surgical, Rehab, Intensive Care, Orthopedic and Neurology units.

The successful candidate will:

  • provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units;
  • work one weekend a month providing hospital wide coverage;
  • perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays; and
  • educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses;

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, a master’s degree will be required)

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

 

Credentials Requirement:

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
  • Specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable, or advanced practice certification (RD-AP/RDN-AP)
