Staffmark, in collaboration with our client, is actively seeking new talent in Tucson, AZ, and is currently hiring an experienced Service Technician to join a collaborative and quality-focused team. Our partnership is with a family-owned sign company that takes pride in its quality workmanship, exceptional service, and commitment to meeting clients' needs. In this role, you will play a crucial part in upholding our client's legacy by ensuring the proper installation and maintenance of signage and lighting fixtures. If you bring prior experience as a service technician, military training in a related field, and previous experience in the sign industry, this direct-hire position could be the ideal fit for you!


Pay: $23-$30 per hour (Based on experience)

1st Shift Hours: 5 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday with opportunities for overtime


Essential Functions:

  • Perform service calls to diagnose and repair customers' sign and lighting issues.
  • Install new signs according to specifications.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
  • Utilize introductory electrical knowledge, including the use of a voltmeter and understanding of wiring principles.
  • Exhibit a sense of pride in workmanship to ensure all installations and repairs meet high-quality standards.
  • Employ creative problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges.
  • Interact with the public courteously and professionally.
  • Uphold safety standards at all times, including the use of safety gear when working at heights.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of construction and installation experience. One year of service technician experience is highly preferred.
  • Crane certification, 6G welding certification, and electrical experience (including the ability to use a volt meter and splice wires).
  • Understanding of basic hand and power tools.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours/overtime in various weather conditions and from heights (typically less than 25' off the ground).
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • OSHA training certification preferred.
